Customers can request for managed backup services for any VM that is provisioned in the cloud. Customers can choose to backup all VM or a subset of VM provisioned. Each VM chosen will be protected by the backup software. The capacity will be calculated based on the rate of change and GFS (Grandfather, father and son) retention policy. The more copies and longer retention required; larger the capacity required. Backup services also ensure that backup copies are replicated to the other data centre to protect against site failure.
